Charities Changing Lives

On Tuesday, 9 October Ronnie Reynolds (Deputy Leader) and I were invited to the Steve Morgan Foundation Conference entitled “Charities Changing Lives”. Wow! Around 200 delegates were invited to Carden Park Hotel to listen and share experiences from ordinary, everyday kind of people who, just by having an idea and passion, turned their ideas into fully fledged operations that provides support on so many different levels to almost every age group. To get a feel for what was on offer check out the Steve Morgan Foundation Facebook page and websites for “Passion for Learning”, “The Port Grocery” and our neighbours in St Helens, “Teardrops”. These were just 3 of 5 amazing projects that were given centre stage on the day. The room was full of inspirational people who all had great projects on the go and all had benefited from the mighty influence of the Steve Morgan Foundation. Money is key but support, coaching and encouragement is equally important. We’re a very, very small fish in a massive pond but we are extremely lucky to be part of this great organisation.
